This is the beach in West Aceh which faced the Tsunami wave in 2004. It looks pretty grim.
I would have never imagined I will once walk in places where it all happened.

As I have finally taken off all the bandages and plasters, I realized I will have one permanent thing to remember Thailand by and that is a new scar. A price for disobedience.

In order to get to Meulaboh in West Aceh, you need to fly with cessna. I thought no one will get me on that excuse for a plane. But so far that flight was the best I have ever experienced. Only a shame I could not try to sit in the co-pilot's seat.

There are definitely some stunning views in the south of Thailand.
But travelling through the country brought lots of confusion to me.
It seems the more I travel, the more countries I visit, the less I understand what I see.

There is a bunch of new houses being built on this island. A fishermen community has been moved there after their previous homes were washed away by Tsunami in 2004. Now, instead of their bamboo sheds, they receieved these two floor houses, build one next to each other. You may think how lucky they are, but it is very questionable.
Well, it seems that in a month i will go 10 years back in time!
My friend from NZ will come to Prague. I cant believe it is 10 years that I left that country.

Just a quick message, as I am being waited for already. I am right now in Meulaboh, West Aceh, in one of the last destinations of my trip. It is pretty tiresome here, especially since I get to fly this week pretty much every day. I will try to find some more time to post more but it is really hectic here and I dont get to spend much time with computer and internet at the same time. :o)
